Witness was travelling home by car with his wife and two children when they saw a very bright red object in the clear night sky. It seemed too high and too bright to be a flare. They stopped the car and watched the light move around and then upwards for a minute or two. The sighting was reported later the same day.
"Bright red light moves in winter sky and then shoots upwards. On a short journey home as a back seat passenger nearest the window with my wife and two children on a clear night (-3 degrees Celsius) without a cloud I spotted a very bright red object in the night sky which to me seemed far too high and too bright to be a flare. I immediately asked my wife and children to look at it, to which my wife and daughter did, both said oh my word what is it? I asked my wife to pull over and jumped out so to observe it more, it hung there so red as to all the distant white stars for ten seconds then moved to my left for a moment then back and then downward very swiftly. It seemed to then just sit there for ten- fifteen seconds more before moving upwards very swiftly and silently until it became a tiny dot and disappeared. This sighting was in Flint Flintshire North Wales UK.((NUFORC Note: We spoke via telephone with this witness, and he seemed to us to be quite serious-minded and credible. Witness saw a fireball for two to three minutes, and reported the sighting on the same day: "Bright golden spherical object that seemed to be burning with pieces falling from it. My son noticed this (object?) through his bedroom window and screamed for me to come and look. It looked like a very large star, golden yellow in colour. Pieces of it appeared to be falling away. It looked like it was something burning in the sky. It gradually moved out of sight getting smaller until it disappeared."

Llandudno
Witness (25) saw a white sphere travelling at high speed over west shore, from the the east, while using a laser pen with a 1000ft reach. The sighting lasted a second or so and was reported the following day.
"White shere over Llandudno Wales - January 2010I am 25 years old and from North Wales UK, On the 23rd of January 2010 at roughly 18.30 GMT, My friend and I spotted a very bright spherical object travelling at high speed over West shore, Llandudno, Conwy, North Wales, UK.The object flew from east to west. This is a particularly exciting sighting, because at the time we were testing out my new laser pen designed to shoot a green beam strong enough to point out stars (the beam reaches approx 1000ft so it appears to be pointing at a star). We were stood in the back yard of a friends house. After making sure there were no aircraft to be seen or heard in the area, we shone the laser pen at a few stars (you have to make sure there are no aircraft in the area, especially helicopters as it is very dangerous and ILLEGAL to point this thing in the sky when aircraft are present!).I shone the laser pointer at three stars in the sky which are shaped like a triangle, They're in the west of the sky and are visible most nights. After touching each star with the laser beam I put the laser pen into my back pocket and lit a cigarette while me and my friend chuckled because I was putting on a stupid voice while pointing at the stars.
From the east and for approx 1-1.5 seconds a brilliant white sphere with no glare or tail. The object appeared as bright as magnesium burning as it passed over our heads at a speed which was far less than a shooting start, but much faster than any known plane or helicopter. There was no sound and the object looked to be very defined and solid (perfect sphere, or ball).I have seen many shooting stars, satellites, commercial/military planes and many helicopters. This object did not fit into any of these criteria, nor did it resemble a comet in any way.I have never seen a large meteor in person but have on video and this object did not in anyway resemble this either. The object was difficult to scale, my friend and I talked for a while and decided it to seemed to looked a little bigger than a passenger jet in the sky but lower than a jet would fly (30,000ft). We cannot verify any size or height of the object as it was very fast, very solid and very visible but so fast that it is hard to from memory alone judge. The object did however, fly quite precisely through the centre of the triangle of stars above, pretty much the centre of the three points I shone the laser! I have created a couple of images using Google map to point out a rough flight path. I started small then worked out. Which I have emailed to yourselves. After returning inside My friend tried to use the GPS on his phone to work out the direction of the craft, but the GPS did not work when it usually does there. It said we were out in the bay towards the direction the object flew! A little while before my Friend and I went out to use the laser we were smoking a cigarette and My Girlfriend, My Friend and I saw two aircraft that looked like helicopters with a droning sound. They had red and green and white lights on them like a normal aircraft but were flashing differently.I know the red and green lights are used to determine which direction an aircraft is flying so other aircraft don’t hit them. But these red and green lights were alternating and the white light stayed with them. We thought nothing too unusual of these at the time. Many thanks for taking the time to read this report"

Black Mountain
Clear sky. Mrs S. James was at home in Glanamman which lies to the south-west of the Black Mountain, at the western end of the Brecon Beacons National Park:
"I was in bed last night looking at the lovely view of the sky through my French doors. It was a very clear night. In the distance I could see an object which I immediately thought was a star twinkling.
As I was looking at it, it started flashing randomly. I could see red, blue, yellow, orange and green lights, flashing randomly and very quickly, as if the object was spinning. I thought it was probably a satellite as it was such a clear night. Its started moving at what seemed a constant speed, but then changed direction, and looked as if it was 'darting' (like a dragonfly).
I thought this very strange, and I thought it must be helicopter on a search. It seemed to hover in certain areas, but was so high up in the sky, I really don't think it could possibly be a helicopter. The lights seemed to slow down sometimes, and only the orange or white light would be displayed, then all the lights would flash again.
The way the lights were flashing, it looked like the object was spherical shaped. At one point, it seemed to plummet through the air, dropping very rapidly, and then come to a sudden stop. I watched the object for about 40mins before going to sleep. I phoned my husband this morning to tell him (as he works shifts) and he phoned me back later to say that a colleague and his wife had also seen unexplainable activity in the sky last night!"

As they got about half way [not known which side of the mountain], one of the group noticed a bright circular light in the sky. They switched off their torches to have a clearer look. First they thought the light was a plane, then a shooting star, then a satellite. After a few seconds it quickly became clear to them that it was none of these. The circular object was low in the sky, moving over the witness' heads at a steady pace, then suddenly stopped. It then dimmed and became more of a red glow before staring to move side to side, "like a pinball." The movement was very shaky and there was no sound. It then disappeared. Moments later it reappeared in the same place, but much smaller. It then shot across the sky over the witness' heads, "quicker than anything I have ever seen."

All three friends couldn't believe it. The object which displayed the lights stopped and hovered over the beach about 100 south-west of them for about 5 to 10 seconds and then started to tilt. The witness, Jordan, was leaving the beach with his dog, walking up on to small dunes to get back onto the footpath when he saw a metallic silver object, and was as high as a jetliner, but had a thicker appearance.
"It was metallic silver in colour, and had a lot more body, thickness and shape to it than an airplane. The left of the object (where a nose of a plane would be) was thicker but shorter, and it seemed to bulb out in the middle then get even out on the right side of the object. It had no vapour trail and disappeared behind a cloud after about 10-15 seconds. It wasn’t quite as long as a commercial jet, but was a lot thicker. I waited for about 3 or 4 minutes for it to come out the other side, but it didn’t show itself. I kept my eye on this particular cloud on the way home and still couldn’t spot it again."

At 7.21 PM, the witness, Jason was sitting in his back garden. The sky was clear and he noticed a few airliners flying over so he decided to look at them through binoculars. Whilst looking at a plane over the Blackhills (Gower) area he spotted “a slightly off round almost egg shape hovering in the sky.”
It turned and then hovered again, moved to the left, then to the right, spinning. Jason said that when it turned it shone brightly, reflecting the sun’s light. He could only see it without the binoculars when it reflected the sun’s rays. At first he thought that it might be a helium balloon, but its motion told him otherwise.
“I could see it without the binoculars only when the sun was hitting it but when it turned it just seemed black....it moved to the left then the right rotating. It stayed there for around 20 minutes. I called my partner but she couldn’t see it.”

“Me and my brother both witnessed a UFO at approximately 1:20 a.m. on the 5th of July over Kittle, Swansea. I was downstairs and then this ‘hovering’ noise and slight vibrations came from the distance, the house was vibrating and then all of a sudden a very loud noise came above and lasted there for at least 45 seconds, which seemed very strange for a plane, unfortunately I was downstairs and ran to the window but it was above us so I couldn’t see from the angle, but then my brother who had been in the shower at the time ran downstairs and shouted “Did you see THAT?!” He said that he had witnessed an orange light passing over our house very slowly, it then slowly hovered over Bishopston Valley and disappeared!
“It was definitely not a plane as there are no major airports nearby. We have lived here for ten years now and have never heard a plane at night. Whatever it was, it looked way too big and sounded too big to be flying over our house at that speed for 45 seconds! It would of definitely fallen out of the sky, it was way too slow to be possibly flying at that sort of height. My brother is a pilot and knows his planes very well. He said that the UFO was bright orange and the orange light was not flashing, planes have to have flashing lights when flying at night he said. Also, the light suddenly went out as it passed the Valley. I don’t know how to describe the sound I heard but it was a huge hovering circling sort of sound and very very loud.

Ellis Evans was camping with his partner and a friend on his family farm land on the Heritage Coast between Southerndown and Nash Point. They saw a huge bright orange-white ball travelling up the Bristol Channel (eastwards) towards the Glamorgan coast at an altitude which he compared to being about 2-3 times the height of the cliffs of Minehead across the channel. When it was roughly between Ilfracombe and Minehead it changed its direction of travel instantly by 90 degrees, turning south and shooting off towards Exmoor National Park, travelling at least four times the cruising speed at which it had come up the channel. He said, “We have a military training base at St. Athan which means I see fast jets occasionally and this object’s cruising speed was equal to a fast jet flying over the channel, but that 90 degree turn?”

"A UFO across Merthyr Tydfil that appeared to be fire hovering through the skyA ball hovered erratically from Gelligaer Common, appearing as a redish orange colour that looked as if it was a floating ball of fire. Thin short lines of red light came from aroundthe outside of the object. It made no sound and passed across Merthyr Tydfil to Cefn Coed and then west towards Aberdare. It was to low and silent to be a plane or helicopter. There was no wind to carry anything across the sky and can't come up with any logical explanation for the UFO."

Still and clear, no wind.
Dian Hobbins, of Tywyn was fishing for bass with her partner on the beach at a location known locally as, 'The Point', a headland where the river meets the sea. They were alone on the beach, just them and their dog. It was just getting dusk when her partner noticed what he thought was an aeroplane coming towards them from the west, over the sea at high altitude. However, it was displaying no visible navigation lights, just a glow.
It was travelling at the same speed as an aircraft, and they were amazed when this object turned left a little and then just stopped. There was no vapour trail and no lights other than the glow. Dian tried to take a photograph on her mobile phone, but with a clear result.
They watched it for about one and a half hours until the sky got pitch dark. The object was still visible when they left the beach. When they arrived home, Dian got her binoculars and drove back down to the seafront to get a better look at the object, but in the space of five minutes since they had left, it had totally disappeared. The time was now around 10.30 PM. They drove back down to the point but it had indeed vanished.

Trefechan, Merthyr Tydfil
The witness, Liam thinks it was around May 2010. He was with his 'missus' and were walking down the path to his house in Swansea Road, Merthyr Tydfil when he looked up towards the mountains in Trefechan (towards NNE) and saw two circular 'fireballs' moving at speed around the mountain. The two witnesses watched this for a few minutes, and then the two objects started rising higher into the sky. Then the objects both stopped at the same height and started moving from east to west. Suddenly they shot off at high speed into the clouds.
Liam has discounted helicopters, aircraft, Chinese lanterns or meteors as possible explanations of what the objects could have been. Unfortunately he does not say what colour the 'fireballs' were, or if there was any sound audible. Presumably there was no sound, as he would have mentioned this in his report. The objects seem to have been a fair distance away as well.

Tenby
Jack Davies was fishing one night with two friends on the rocks of South Beach, Tenby. He stood up and looked over towards Caldey Island and saw two orange lights in the sky slowly coming towards them.
All three friends couldn't believe it. The object which displayed the lights stopped and hovered over the beach about 100 south-west of them for about 5 to 10 seconds and then started to tilt. Another two orange lights appeared on the other side of the object and the witnesses could just make out its disc-shape in the darkness. The object then carried on, heading over Tenby towards Manorbier in the west.

Ynysddu
Robert Francis was with his partner in the car, driving south through Ynysddu in the Sirhowy Valley, heading for Cwmfelinfach, the next village down. He was just entering Ynysddu when they spotted an object, motionless in the sky about 100 to 200 feet in altitude, which they had to drive directly underneath. It was described as a dark coloured sphere. Robert looked for a tethering line underneath but could see none.
They continued on their way to Cwmfelinfach. Five minutes later they were heading back the same way and where they had seen the strange object, a green astra had parked on the side of the road, the driver presumably looking at something. Robert and his partner then noticed an orange ball-shaped light travelling upwards over Pengam Mountain in the north. As it got to about 300 metres in altitude the orange ball then turned into a dark-coloured disc, which travelled above the mountain towards the south-east in the direction of Newport and Cwmbran. Once the object was out of sight the car in front pulled off.

A huge orange light flew over a house in Kittle, Swansea at 1:20 AM. Witnessed by brothers Alex and Nick Brown. Alex reported:

There was no sound or flashing navigation lights associated with the object. It displayed a consistent glow at both observable directions of travel.

A full moon was in the sky to the south and helped illuminate the object. He said it was big, displayed no lights and there were no windows or other features apparent. As it moved slowly from left to right it passed behind Alexandra House (from his perspective – see photo), the large office block at the top of High Street , so wasn’t high in the sky, but perhaps 100 to 200 feet above the sea, and because of Paul’s elevated position due to his flat being on the side of a hill, he was more or less looking across at it rather than upwards. There was no noise and he watched it for no more than five minutes as it slowly continued on its westerly course towards the west of the city, along the coast, until it moved out of his vision from the window. "Lying on my settee in the living room watching TV - curtains not drawn I suddenly saw what appeared to be about 9 large round orb lights slowly passing in the night sky, just above horizon level - they were moving in a "V" formation. I was so stunned - I jumped up and ran through the hall shouting to my partner Don to come and take a look - he rushed out with me to the sun room and they were still visible, we went out of the back door and watched - we could hear no noise, saw no flashing lights (it was a very still night - we live in a remote part of West Wales). The lights moved to a single file formation and simply disappeared, one after another - maybe into cloud, but there was no moon, so it was difficult to see if there were any cloud formations. Since this happened I have been trying to research what we saw, and am surprised to find that there have been other similar sightings. I would just like an explanation. It may well be that the military have secret craft that they take up and test - but I do not believe this was so. I still cannot stop thinking about it!! Shortly afterwards, John Roberts, a friend and co-investigator, who lives a few streets behind, telephoned her, excitedly saying that he was at a barbeque in a neighbour's front garden opposite his house, with his wife, when suddenly a large disc flew over their heads, turned and went back the same way, past Margaret's house.

Clear night sky.
Radio Producer, Steve Powell was taking a walk through Griffithstown Park after posting a letter. He noticed a bright red/orange light approaching from the north and heading south towards Cwmbran and Newport. It was travelling very slowly and at first he thought it was an aircraft flying towards Cardiff airport, or maybe a helicopter. However, there was no sound and as it went overhead, the light seemed to dim and fade.
As it did, Steve could now see that it was a black triangular-shaped object against the dark sky. At this point it started to travel at speed and seemed to be moving from left to right in his viewpoint and "looked in free fall." It continued south and eventually over the rooftops of houses nearby. Steve said it was either low or very high and large.
No sound was heard from the object. Steve added that it appeared again later (if same object) travelling east to west.

Sue: "My daughter and I saw an object in the sky last night. Not sure what it was. It flew from south to north over Barry on Sunday 5th September 2010. The whole of the object was glowing white then glowed red then back to white again. Not at all like an aeroplane (no sound either and we went outside to watch it). The glowing was a bit like a fibre optic light changing colour. Weird. From my living room window (my house is halfway up Trinity Hill and we can see across the channel. I see flights arriving and taking off from Rhoose airport. Landing from east to west and taking off from west to east. This definitely wasn't anything from Rhoose (Cardiff Wales) Airport."

She watched as it progressed slowly in its course, when suddenly it disappeared in a flash along trees in the distance. She said:
"In no way was this a Chinese lantern as it was an orb in shape and was low enough to be able to distinguish that it wasn't a lantern. There was no noise just complete silence and it was a clear crisp night. The only thing that even remotely looks similar is the ghost light or red orb on YouTube from Indonesia or off Nat Geo ghost lights mystery."

Witness saw a reddish orange light in the sky, and was insistent it was nt a chinese lantern. The sighting lasted around five minutes and was reported on January 4th 2011.
"On the evening of October 9, 2010, I stepped outside the house of a friend I was visiting in Glan Conwy, Wales. It was quite dark, there was a solid ceiling of clouds not high but not low either. I noticed a reddish-orange light in the sky heading in my general direction from the west. It was slow moving, much like the speed of a slow moving helicopter, my first thought is that it was and the bright light was its search beacon. I didn't think too much of it until it came closer, but I continued to watch it.It was flying in a straight and level path well below the cloud cover and soon began a wide-arced turn which is when I started to realize it was something abnormal. The bright light never dimmed as a search beacon should have if it had been turned away. I dashed into the house, grabbed my camera and snapped off a shot. Unfortunately, the shutter remained open for 1/10 of a second causing a blurred shot. It was too dark to see the adjustments on my camera so I didn't take any more shots. The object had grown closer as it made its turn to the north, appearing much like a very bright military flare at this point. There was no smoke coming from it, the sky was clear enough that I would easily have seen any. It made no sound, no red and white lights hazzard lights were flashing from either side and the intensity of the light made it impossible to see any details of the object. I doubt it could have been more than 10 to 20 feet in height and width. Its speed never varied, its trajectory seemed to be controlled as it never climbed, dipped or wavered to either side. There is no way anyone could convince me that this was a Chinese lantern...far too bright to be that. I estimate the closest it got to me was within 1/4 mile, its altitude being only 1000 to 1500 feet at most.I continued to observe the object for a full four to five minutes before it dissappeared over the hilltops to the northwest, heading in the direction of the nearest RAF base. The light grew only slightly dimmer as the object grew more distant. While the object was recorded on my camera the duration of the shutter opening showed movement of the camera and gave the recorded image the appearance of a fireball with a tail (a tail that the object I saw did not possess). I more adhered to the object being something military in nature due to both my lack of explanation of it and its course in the direction of the RAF base. That is until my friend called me from the UK on December 31, 2010 to tell me she had seen two objects near her house (that same house) which matched my description to a tee. That's when I started searching and saw there seems to be many sightings identical in nature from many parts of the world."

Clear and sunny with excellent visibility.
The witness, J. Malvern was driving in the Bridgend area and saw two commercial jet liners travelling west. A silver object which 'buzzed' them was then seen at roughly the same altitude. It seemed to be conscious of the aircraft. It made no vapour trail and moved faster than the planes. It was too far away for the witness to notice any details, and just appeared as a spherical or slightly elongated spherical object. It changed direction several times quite slowly, but 'not in a winged aircraft manner'. The witness discounted the possibility that it could have been a helicopter, plane or satellite.

Sam: "I was with my mother in our courtyard. A bright orange orb shape passed about 400 ft in the air slowly. An airplane actually passed over during this period which was easily distinguished with sound shape and flashing lights. The orb passed below very slowly but was completely silent. The orange orb then rose higher and higher then accelerating very fast away from us until it was a red dot in the far distance. This was definitiely not a Chinese lantern as it seemed to move with a purpose. Meaning it changed speed and altitude several times before climbing at high speed. There's not many occasions when I get goosebumps but this was one of those days."

The witness, Jenny, was with her partner in their local park in Merthyr Tydfil to watch a firework display. Half way through, an orange light appeared, which circled the park as the fireworks were going off. It carried on doing this for about 10 minutes until it stopped still. Its orange glow turned a deeper orange, nearly red. It stayed like this for about a minute before turning back to its orange glow and then it started moving again. It remained visible until the firework display finished, then it shot across the sky and out of sight.
Jenny said that it was not a Chinese lantern 'as they can't stop dead and shoot off into the opposite direction with such speed.'

“I am reporting this incident for the witness who wishes to remain anonymous at this time. I received several photos taken in rural Carmarthenshire, Wales, near Carmarthen on November 5, 2010 around 7 pm local time. The witness noticed the object rise from behind a hill at a distance of approx. ½ mile. The UFO hovered for about a minute then continued to rise until it was out of sight. It was described as disc-shaped with red lights. The photo was taken with a cell phone. After talking to witness, I estimate this object was at least 150 feet across....possibly up to 200 feet. As you can see in the photo, the object seems to have structures on it. There have been a few unusual sightings in this specific area recently. The witness has asked me not to disclose further location information. I realise that this was Guy Fawkes night in the UK and that there are traditionally fireworks and bonfires....but the witness is very reliable.”
The object was described as a large disc shaped object with red and white lights and structure. At this time, the images will be posted as *(link moved to additional evidence section-cms/sg). Under copyright.

Witness and husband saw a fast moving star like lights in the sky, which changed speed and direction. The sighting lasted around five minutes and was reported on January 5th 2017.
"This occurred six years ago and my memory isn't too good so this is mostly taken from what i wrote in my diary that night: my husband called me to the back door (he'd gone there for a cigarette) where there was a light in the sky traveling to the north from the west, away from us. he saw it first right overhead, moving to the north. as we watched it stopped briefly, then resumed and got dimmer as it went behind a cloud so we couldn't see it any more. we were debating whether it was a chinese lantern but doubted it as it had halted briefly. then three more swung in from the east, that is from the right of the section of northern sky we can see between the hedges on either side of the narrow garden. the speed was like fireworks. they slowed right where we could see them, then one went off to the left so it was no longer visible below the hedge. of the two remaining lights, one got behind the other from our perspective. they moved slightly in our direction (south) then went north again and went out of sight behind the clouds. they looked like reddish-amber lights. the first maybe twinkled a little like a star but the others were steady in intensity. i thought of them as moving like ice skaters, smoothly and sometimes in arcs. they moved fairly slowly apart from when the group of three first came into view. i don't think they changed altitude. i took a few photos on my blackberry, i think some were with and some without the flash so not much is visible in a few but i'm including them in case they're of use at all. what looks like a light below the washing line is most likely a reflection from the shed window. i felt lucky to have seen the lights in the sky, although perhaps luck has nothing to do with it as my husband described the first light as being right overhead, they 'performed' right where we could see them, they at one point seemed headed straight for us, and this wasn't my first ufo sighting. i'm drawing no conclusions but it seemed as if me or my husband were meant to see them."

I took a look around for 5 minutes but the object was gone. The road runs adjacent to the busy M4 so I wonder if anybody else saw the object? Unfortunately, I did not think of grabbing my camera - I would have had more than enough time to have taken photos."

Suddenly a very large disc-shaped revolving craft passed in a straight line across their vision out of the window, about 200 feet in altitude, moving fast. It was yellow in the centre, with an orange rim.
Margaret exclaimed and for some reason said to her daughter, "It will return." Sure enough, seconds later it passed over again, slower, and covering the same route as when it passed earlier.

"well it was the night of the meteor storms and a group of us were at a recording studio high up (around 700ft above sea level)the view up there in daylight is wonderful and on a clear night, which it mainly was that night,we first saw 3 `objects`flying very close to each other,we thought at first it was private aircraft taking people up to film/photograph the meteor storms, then one larger object travelled very slowly across the sky, leaving no vapour trail or emitting any noise,it suddenly stopped, shot upwards, then downwards, seemed to head in our direction, then it seemed to shake/wobble from side to side,it then moved slowly in it`s original path before becoming motionless for approx 10 minutes, then suddenly disappeared. We couldn`t really tell a shape, although at it`s nearest point to us it appeared conical, lights came from it intermitantly,red/white/orange/yellow,the size is hard to determine,at a rough guess probably 10-20 metres.we were watching at around 1 mile away. | Yes it shot up vertically, then dropped down, seemed to shake/move from side to side. | The meteor shower was great, and it definately had nothing to do with that,This object made no noise,it`s movements were at times sporadic, but it was definately nothing we had seen before."

The witnesses, Deborah Booth and her son, who live on the main road through Briton Ferry had a sighting:
“My son called me out of bed. There was an unusual object hovering in the sky above my rear garden. I could see it was round in shape, had white lights illuminating it and red lights on the underside. As it moved away, I could not see the lights, but the shape of the object, a semi-circle, the flat side being the underside.
It became clear a smaller object of the same shape etc was following close by. We went to the front of the house where we continued to watch the object hover back and fore, moving away from us, over the hill towards the Cimla/Tonmawr area where they appeared to stop and hover in the distance.
A third object, the same as the two previous joined them and the three hovered for a period of time. My son witnessed a beam of light shoot out of one, to the right as he looked at it when I had gone back inside in search of the camera. On my return I could see a second object appeared to have sparks shooting from it in a halo, with the object changing colour, white, blue, green. My son said it was a different object to the one he had witnessed shooting the beam of white light. They continued to hover there in the distance again for a time. I went back to bed totally mystified, trying to evaluate rationally what I had seen.
My son called me frantically again. Yet again above my back garden there were three objects. So clear to the naked eye I found my camera and tried to take a photo but found the batteries had drained. I frantically looked for replacements in the kitchen drawer, but all were dead.
The three objects above me were round with bright white lights illuminating them and as they hovered overhead I could see a red light circling the underside which gave the impression that the objects were spinning as they moved. The sun was starting to rise and the sky was lightening as the objects started to move off again in the direction of the Cimla/Tonmawr area. They moved faster, one after another in a straight formation, which was contrary to the hovering I had witnessed previously. As they moved off at this increased pace you could clearly see an emission of what appeared to be smoke from the rear ends of each object. We watched until they were out of sight. All in all this account covered the time period between 4:00 AM and 5:10 AM.
My son, who works shifts and has a peculiar body clock at the present time, had gone out the front of the house for a cigarette when he first sighted the first strange object in the sky. Thus, it could have been there for goodness knows how long before he saw it. The whole experience has left both of us mystified and myself very much unnerved. If a logical explanation can be given then I would very much appreciate any feed back. At the present time, I am constantly thinking about what I saw and trying to rationalise my recollections.
My son and I have both witnessed the same, albeit he may have more to add, since I did retreat back to my bed for 10 or more minutes. I am interested to know if anyone else has reported a similar sighting.

Michelle Sexton was letting her dog in and looked up at the sky. To the right of her house, through trees, she saw an orange glowing object. She walked down her garden to get a better look as she thought it was a street light, although it was way too high. It was stationary but as she watched, it moved slowly away from her.
Michelle watched it for a while to see if she could see any flashing lights on it, in which case it would be a helicopter, but there weren't. At this point she ran into the house to fetch binoculars. By the time she got back the object had gone. She turned to go back in and saw two more in the sky, coming from the direction of Newport docks, going right over her house and towards Cwmbran. Looking through the binoculars they appeared as bright orange spheres. As she finished watching these go over another 3 appeared.
The reader would be correct in writing this sighting off as nothing more than another case of Chinese lanterns, but what followed rules this postulation out.
She ran back into the house to get bigger binoculars, hoping to get a better look. With these she could see that they still appeared as bright orange spheres, but one looked like a disc with lights going around the edge on top of it. The last group of three lights, which were spread out in the sky, stopped in an area over Newport docks. As Michelle watched, a beam of light, the full diameter of one of the objects, appeared, shining upwards. The object then dropped down rapidly and out of sight, her view obscured by houses. The other two did exactly the same thing, one after the other.
Michelle stayed for a while but saw nothing else. She phoned her friend to tell her what she had seen and as she was returning back to the house and saw one light reappear. She called her friend to come and see, and her friend's son arrived. He too saw two of them. They seemed to be further away, although they stayed stationary for several minutes before slowly dropping a little then moving to the right a bit more, then going out of sight."

Witness: Jonathan Carr. "I had just entered the local park (the Rec) whilst taking the dogs for a walk. The sky was clear as it was a crisp evening. No clouds. The park has no lighting and was pitch black. The moon was behind me and the only other bright light in the sky was – I presume – Venus, at about 30 degrees above the horizon, to the East. [Venus would actually be in the west at this time of the day – E.W. of SUFON]
I was looking down the valley to the South West when a bright white light appeared above the tree tops. It was silent and moving very quickly. From seeing it to it reaching 90 degrees above my head was approx 30 seconds. It was twice as bright as Venus, travelling in a straight line from the South West to North East. It displayed no navigation lights, so from my ATC training as a youngster, was not an aircraft.
After the light reached directly overhead, I turned to watch it. It continued in a straight line and constant speed for about 3 seconds. It then began to climb, on the same trajectory, the light becoming fainter until after about 5 seconds it was an orange spec, but still visible. At this moment it immediately made a 25-30 degree sharp turn to the left and continued in this new direction for about 2 seconds before fading."

Dunvant, Swansea
At around 8 pm, the witnesses, Alexandra Hole, her boyfriend Jonathan Coombs, and five others saw an object over Dunvant, Swansea:
“My boyfriend was outside having a cigarette and called me out to look at something in the sky. At first, it appeared to be a plane on fire falling out of the sky, but then it got closer and right over the houses. It wasn’t up high but it was down low in the sky and was the size of around 5 jumbo jets put together. It didn’t make noise but was right over the house and the light was so bright it was like the sun. This made it impossible to photograph it because it flooded the camera with light.
There were lights all around the edge of it shooting off colours. It went over and then a second one appeared further up and hovered for a bit. There were planes all around it and one appeared to go up close and then either disappeared or went into it. There were several of us there to see it (three adults and four boys from the street). The boys said they had seen it the night before as well but no one had believed them.
Everyone was stone cold sober and we are not the type of people to ever have thought that UFOs existed. One of us had to go to work and once there she could see bright lights in the sky in a group. She was with two other adults and they all looked at the lights through strong binoculars. She said it was the same ships as we had seen close up and the underbelly of them looked like lit up jellyfish.
The activity went on for around a half hour and the crafts moved off towards Gower and out of sight. This was a very frightening experience for everyone. Please if anyone else saw this can you get in touch?”

I haven’t told anyone because people look at me as if I have two heads."

Clear night. Linda had left her house to do some washing in her outbuilding and noticed a bright orange/red orb about 200 ft in the air. It was close to a metre in diameter and moving slowly above a tree line then making its way over houses a few streets away.

Witness: Jonathan Davies.
“I and my wife were witnesses to a very strange incident off the coast of Llandimore, Gower, Swansea, last Thursday 7th October 2010, 8 pm till 9 pm. My daughter who is 2 years old was standing pointing out the window saying ‘bright’. Took a look and a very strange large egg shape orange object was in the sky not too far off the coast over the sea (tide was in over the salt marsh) the object then came down just above the sea, the colours were as bright as the sun, the colours kept changing. This happened for over an hour. I took close up pictures with a hi def camera and the pictures are very unusual to say the least. About 15 minutes after it arrived another similar but much larger object appeared opposite Llanelli (took lots more pics) the sky was overcast so not stars and not Chinese lanterns as objects were very large and stayed in same position for long periods.
Whilst the object was over the sea, a large helicopter came up to the object with a spot light on it, but as soon as the light hit the object it went out and the helicopter sped off in opposite direction very fast, this happened 5 times, strange!
I have been in touch with the police (not their helicopter and no reports), the coast guard same response as the police and the two local air bases at Pembrey and St. Athan both bases close at 5.30 and said nothing to do with them.
I have sent the picture to Nick Pope who headed up the investigation into UFOs at the Ministry of Defence. He has replied and said the pictures are baffling and intriguing and asked me to get them analysed with the BUFORA which I have done (sent pics, awaiting response).”

Saturday 9th October, evening
Glan Conwy

South west Anglesey
Cold clear night. Light snow on ground.
Sion Jones was walking his dog around a field on the edge of Caernarfon. He watched as a satellite made its way slowly through the night sky when a bright light caught his attention. It seemed to switch on as he turned to look. The light was located across the Menai Straits above Anglesey, roughly in a position between Llanidan and Dwyran).
"What I saw was an orange light, circular with undefined edges about the size of a match head at arm's length (larger and brighter than any star or planet). It had a definite translucent quality - such a crisp, vibrant sort of orange. I compared the colour to the orange street lamps in the distance and it was a deeper orange, an almost red hot coal orange. Within this colour was some dark/black areas which seemed to be writhing around. Not unlike pictures we see of the sun."
At first it seemed stationary, but it got gradually larger and appeared to be heading in his general direction. This lasted around 30 seconds. Sion said he was sure it was not a Chinese lantern as there was no flickering and the colour was stronger and brighter than a lantern. The light then abruptly changed its course without slowing down. It veered off at a sharp angle and headed off into the distance, heading over Llanddwyn beach area (western Anglesey) and out of sight over the Irish Sea.
"I instantly phoned some family members to tell them what I had seen. As I was on the phone relating the sighting the light appeared once more! It appeared in the same place as the first time and again travelled towards me at a steady speed (about the speed of a helicopter) and gradually got larger as the first one did. But then it veered off on a tight angle without slowing down and off into the west again. But this time it stopped abruptly and then split into two lights! One sat next to the other for a good ten seconds or so before they both finally faded out. They made no sound, changed speed and trajectory and changed shape. No Chinese lanterns look like this and no aircraft I know of flies like this - not to mention split into two! It may be worth mentioning that RAF Valley is on Anglesey. It was an incredible sight. Very enigmatic! I feel lucky to have seen it."

Twmbarlwm Mountain
Mike and Arlene had just dropped their daughter off in the Thornhill area of Cwmbran and were heading back home to Coed Eva in their car when they noticed lights on top of 'the mountain'. This would be Twmbarlwm mountain which borders the western side of Cwmbran and exists as a long ridge lying south to north.
At first they assumed the lights were that of a house but when they got to Coed Eva [south of Thornhill] they could see that the lights were rounded as if circular in shape. Now at home, they went upstairs to view the lights and looked through binoculars but couldn't really focus properly. They saw another light which was orange and red moving towards where the lights on the mountain were. They are unsure if the orange/red light actually linked with the lights.
As they looked they saw another light come from the middle of the ring/row of lights on the mountain. This light then disappeared back into the ring/row of lights. After 8.30 pm they could no longer see the lights and didn't know if it was an object which took off or if the lights went individually.
In the morning they viewed the mountain again and could see no house or structure in the area where the lights had been, which could account for it.

Dark, dry wintery night.
Roger Harris was at his small-holding in Pen isa'r waun, near Llanrug, Caernarfon. He went out to clean out the horses and was pushing a wheelbarrow filled with manure past a row of stables on the way to tip it at the manure heap. As he got to the end of the stables, suddenly, everything lit up like day. The whole area was awash with white light. His immediate thought was a helicopter and he looked up to find it. As he did so, in a split second, the light went out and everything went black again.
Looking straight up, he saw an object, roughly 200 - 500 ft in altitude, shaped like a "square block of flats" - 3D and tall, not horizontal - and as big as the Lysaght Institute in Newport where he was as he related the tale to Emlyn Williams.
However his view of the object was very brief - about a second. It just went off. He thought it might have shot off to the south but it was so quick he wasn't sure.
The following day on the radio, they were asking if anyone had seen anything.
