The Welshman of March 6th 1868 covered the Cardiganshire Spring Assizes and the case of stone throwing and other harrassment, including arson, of the Richards family of Pencraig in 1867. They blamed their neighbour, Rachel Thomas. She blamed ghosts.
It could be a poltergeist case but, either way, it's interesting to see how a commonly held belief in her rural area is treated in court.
