Llanblethian, Cowbridge
The Merthyr Guardian of 28th July 1838 reported that for the last ten days or so the inhabitants of Cowbridge had been looking out for a ghost. They went on, 'we have not heard what form the ghost has assumed; but the usual knockings on such occasions have been plentifully heard.'
Several of the inhabitants of Cowbridge have been engaged in looking out for a ghost at Llanblethian, during the last ten days. We have not heard what form the ghost has assumed; but the usual knockings on such occasions have been plentifully heard. We should have hoped in these days that the inhabitants of a civilized country would have found better employment.
