Didn't take place in Wales, but to a pair of welsh clergymen. As early weird accounts are so few and far between I've included it anyway. This story comes from correspondence published in July 30th 1880 edition in the Cambrian News:

GHOST STORY. —The Calvinistic Methodist's Association, which will take place the second week in August, reminds me of an incident that occurred in connection with the Association about 40 years ago. Then and many years previously Mr R- D-, merchant. Great Dark-Gate Street, was in the habit, like many others in the town, of giving free lodgings to all the preachers, deacons, and others who attended the great gathering. Two men — a minister and a deacon from Carnarvonshire - were staying with Mr. D- and as there was so many there, they were obliged to engage beds for some of them about the town.

These two individuals were sent down to the Coburg House, Marine Terrace, a lodging house kept then by Mrs. Lewis. Soon after they went to bed, the two men heard a great bustle and noise in the room adjoining, followed by music and dancing. All of a sudden they heard something heavy falling on the floor, after that there was a running backward and forward up and down stairs, in short, there was great confusion every- where. In a short time the door of their own room opened, and in came several persons, removing furni- ture; others followed, carrying something and laying it down on the table. The two men were so much frightened that they could not sleep a wink all night. In the morning they told Mr. D all that had place.

In a few weeks after, Mr. D wrote to them, relating an event which had just happened in Coburg House, some three weeks after the noises were heard. It appears that a family took lodgings there, and held a ball one night. A young lady who took part in the dancing fell down dead on the floor. This awful occurrence of course caused great alarm to all present, and put an end to the dancing. When they found life was extinct, they carried the corpse to the next room, the one in which the two men had previously slept, and laid it on the table. This is a true story, and your readers may explain it as best they can. SENEX.
